Kabul

I was lucky that I can visit "the camp"in Kabul. The place where unfortunate people of Afghanistan re-settle in various place in Kabul. War torn Afghanistan push a lot of afghan to go to be refugee in neighbouring countries such as Pakistan and Iran. As the security is improving, they started to return to their beloved home nation. They love Afghanistan deep down in their heart. IN one camp, there are 3 different ethnic in one place shows they live together in harmony as one nation. They are pashto and Tajik in one complex of camp. They are really poor and live in less than acceptable standard living condition. Last year it was reported about 100 child died due to Severe Lower Respiratory Tract Infection and various disease due to harsh winter and no access to the health care. Though they life in Kabul, they are not fortunate enough to enjoy the health care as they do not have money to buy medicine. Some of the children are malnourished make them vulnerable in the winter. The place where I work try to prevent them from death due to winter. We opened Mobile Clinic targeted people live in the camp who are really sick and malnourished, We move from one site to another site of the camp in Kabul. I can see that they are really happy and grateful. Personally, this is the real work as we can do something and bring some changes in someone life by help them at least to be healthy and can work optimally, not to think about their health.
Last 5 years, Afghanistan economy is improving but the discrepancy between Rich and Poor become wide and wider, make Afghanistan one of the poorest country in the world. but I have confidence that the country will improve and slowly they will stand on their won feet and the poor will be reduced and all social problem will gradually decreased. Clash between ethnic will be no more and different ethnic will joint hand in hand build the country. Inshallah !
